Parsons Corporation is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join its Chicago Office and support major regional infrastructure projects. The role focuses on preparing roadway transportation plans and technical documentation, performing engineering calculations and quantity takeoffs, and supporting project teams with technical expertise.
Preparation of plans, sketches, and details for transportation projects primarily involving roadways utilizing CADD and other technical tools
Assist with engineering calculations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and schedules
Assist with the preparation of design, drainage, traffic, crash, and other technical reports including report text, exhibits, and other investigations
Provide input and technical knowledge to support other staff working on the same project including interaction with all levels of design professionals and disciplines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
Some related work experience and/or internships
Engineering In Training (EIT) Certificate or the ability to obtain one
Working knowledge or experience with CAD and other PC software packages typically associate with engineering
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate both written and orally
