Responsibilities

Manage month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance analysis, and research of general ledger transactions
Collaborate with senior management and operational teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity enhancement
Conduct financial forecasting, business planning, and branch performance analysis to support strategic decision-making
Provide financial training and guidance to business unit staff on policies, procedures, and financial tools
Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through branch audits and internal controls review
Act as a liaison between the business units and Ryder’s Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group
Follow up on tracking, reporting, and providing recommendations for process improvements
Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support financial and operational objectives

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all management levels
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and business planning
Experience with month-end closing procedures and general ledger research
Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proactive thinking and innovative approach to problem-solving
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex financial information
