Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance analysis, and research of general ledger transactions
  • Collaborate with senior management and operational teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity enhancement
  • Conduct financial forecasting, business planning, and branch performance analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Provide financial training and guidance to business unit staff on policies, procedures, and financial tools
  • Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through branch audits and internal controls review
  • Act as a liaison between the business units and Ryder’s Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group
  • Follow up on tracking, reporting, and providing recommendations for process improvements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support financial and operational objectives

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all management levels
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and business planning
  • Experience with month-end closing procedures and general ledger research
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proactive thinking and innovative approach to problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex financial information
