Leidos provides engineering and project management consulting services for electric utilities and power delivery projects. The Associate Project Manager will support transmission line design projects by managing performance, costs, schedules, scope, client communication, deliverables, bidding materials, and invoicing.
Assist project managers to manage various sized transmission line design projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities
Accept responsibility for overall project performance and reporting
Ensure project costs, schedule and scope are managed, including the development of recovery plans with a focus on change management, to stay within approved limits
Communicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel
Create and maintain resource loaded schedules
Coordinate with Engineering Leads to track and execute client deliverables
Assist with the preparation of bid documents, cost estimates and responses to Requests for Proposal
Complete monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed time frames
Qualification
Required
• 1+ year of relevant experience in project management
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or related discipline is required
• Must be capable of planning, organizing, directing, and tracking technical efforts on assigned tasks
• Must be capable of tracking cost and schedule status of assigned tasks
• Ability to take direction from and discuss decisions with the direct supervisor, and to coordinate with project team members
• Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Projects)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner
Ideal Canidates will be located in the Houston area and able to work out of our Houston TX office on a hyrbid Schedule; Other well-qualified candidates located elsewhere in the US may be considered for fully remote work

Preferred
• Familiarity with electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services
• Ideal Candidates will have a desire to obtain PMP Certification
• Experience with project management software (e.g., PWA, MS Project or P6)
