John Deere is a manufacturing company that designs and produces lawn, garden, electric, agriculture, and construction equipment. They are seeking a Software Engineer to deliver a modern quoting application for sourcing decisions, working both internally and externally. The role involves developing technical solutions, resolving IT issues, and supporting product design.
Be responsible for delivering a modern quoting application used for sourcing decisions. The solution will be used both internally by John Deere personnel, and externally by suppliers around the world.
Develop and implement technical solutions to deliver on User Stories
Assist in resolution of IT technical issues in the product team
Establish and implement CI/CD pipelines Develop automated test scripts
Work on a product team and support product design by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver moderately complex functionality.
Qualification
Required
2 or more years of modern web development experience using React, Node and Service Oriented Architecture
2 or more years of varied DB experience (e.g. DB2, Postgres, NoSQL)
1 or more years of experience with DevOps principles and lean development such as Continuous Integration (GitHub) and Continuous Delivery (GitHub Actions)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred
Experience with financial applications and business processes
Experience with cloud operational environments, preferably AWS
Understanding of Supply Management processes
