Northrop Grumman is a leading aerospace and defense technology company, and they are seeking a Software Engineer – Level 2 to join their team. The selected candidate will support the Ground-based Midcourse Defense Weapon System program by developing automation related software products and conducting testing in an Agile environment.
You will build SW products assigned by your leadership related to test automation of requirement verification efforts at the system level
Develop software in an Agile environment
Develop and conduct testing in HWIL environment
Automate current manual test procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 Years Experience; 0-2 Years Experience with Masters or with PhD
Experience with components of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, or deployment
Professional software development experience using Python, Bash or similar languages
Familiarity with Agile software development using tools like Jira, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible, and Bitbucket
Applicants must possess good communication skills
Capable of working both independently and within team environments
Applicants must be able to work on-site, in office
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start
Preferred
Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science discipline(s)
Experience developing technical solutions in collaboration with product teams
Experience in software development related to Test Automation
Experience using Jenkins and Eggplant
Experience in Agile/Scrum leadership roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner
