Jacobs is a leading engineering solutions provider partnering with NASA. They are seeking a User Experience (UX) Designer intern to work with a diverse team of professionals to develop web interfaces for science data sets related to NASA's missions.
Work in a small development team environment alongside NASA scientists, engineers, flight controllers, and other professionals in to develop web interfaces for science data sets from NASA's International Space Station and Artemis missions
Code, build, test, and deploy feature enhancements to core products in the EVA Mission System Software portfolio
Develop science data visualization designs, graphic designs, and applications for exploration science and mission data
Assist in communicating science mission requirements to a range of mission engineering develop projects and organizations
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and normally possess 3 years of work experience.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
Preferred
Current student or recent graduate with Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human Computer interaction, Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with industry standard design tools.
