The Salesforce.com Administrator will be responsible for managing Salesforce operations, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance system functionalities and support sales and service operations.
Manage Salesforce Support Escalations: Oversee and manage escalations from Helpdesk and SFDC support teams, including ownership of the support queue related to Salesforce.com issues.
Salesforce Data Management: Administer and maintain Salesforce.com contact, account, and sales structure data to ensure data accuracy, reporting integrity, and alignment with the customer master list in the system.
Salesforce Configuration & System Changes: Leverage expertise in Salesforce.com administration to manage configuration changes, including the setup and adjustment of user permissions, custom objects, fields, and workflows. Understand the impact of Salesforce release upgrades and apply necessary configurations.
Enhancement Request Review: Review and assess enhancement requests submitted by field employees and stakeholders, evaluating their feasibility, impact on system configuration, and alignment with business processes.
System Design & Review: Participate in design reviews to ensure that any changes to Salesforce are consistent with field user expectations and functional requirements. Provide insights into best practices for system configuration and usability.
Release Testing & Compatibility: Actively engage in testing new Salesforce features and functionalities in each release, ensuring compatibility with existing business processes and identifying configuration adjustments as needed.
Report & Dashboard Design: Design and develop custom reports, dashboards, and analytics in Salesforce for end-users and field leadership, ensuring accurate and actionable insights for decision-making.
Requirement Gathering & Solution Design: Work directly with end-users and business partners to gather requirements, estimate solutions, and design configurations that meet business needs. Create efficient solutions through Salesforce's point-and-click tools.
License Management: Manage Salesforce user licenses, ensuring proper allocation, access rights, and compliance with Salesforce.com licensing guidelines.
Complex Problem Solving: Address complex technical challenges within Salesforce, developing creative solutions that align with business objectives and ensure system reliability and scalability.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Salesforce's built-in reporting tools to analyze data and support strategic decision-making. Maintain high-quality, actionable data within Salesforce.
Collaboration with IT & Business Teams: Partner with IT and business teams to define and develop Salesforce solutions, ensure seamless integrations, and drive the adoption of best practices in system configuration and development.
Field Data Management: Collaborate with field personnel to ensure Salesforce data related to physicians, sales structures, and customer information remains accurate and relevant within field-facing systems.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to standardize processes, streamline capabilities, and enhance field metrics with the goal of reducing manual effort and increasing productivity.
Special Projects & Initiatives: Support and manage special projects aimed at operational improvements and strategic Salesforce initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and integration of new features or changes.
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience supporting Salesforce.com (SFDC), or advanced degree in lieu of experience
Preferred
Salesforce.com Certifications
Knowledge of SAP and Business Objects
Experience in consulting, project management, analyst, operations, or program management role
Experience in successful management of projects that require cross-functional collaboration
Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels within the organization
Analytical problem-solving skills
Computer skills with experience utilizing Microsoft Applications – Excel, Access, PowerPoint
Strong understanding of business processes and vocabulary
